Tomas Etlin

Tomas Etlin is a sophomore from São Paulo, Brazil majoring in Applied Mathematics with minors in Computer Science and Finance. During his freshman summer, he worked at two different hedge funds in São Paulo, gaining insights into both quantitative and value investing theses, focusing on Brazilian markets. Eager to expand beyond, Tomas is joining the Alpha Fund in September 2024. Outside of Alpha Fund, Tomas plays on the Tufts club basketball team and works with Tufts professors to prepare for the Putnam math competition. In his free time, he enjoys playing bossa nova on his guitar, playing his parents and siblings in chess, and spearfishing whenever he has the chance.
